Through the Misty TV University Foundation, 25% of all Arts & Culture Sponsorship donations will be dedicated to supporting scholarships for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) pursuing careers in music, theater, dance, fashion, film, media, communications, design, and the performing arts.

For more than five decades, Mr. Blassingame has dedicated his career to discovering talent, creating opportunities, and helping shape the landscape of fashion, media, entertainment, and publishing. His work has influenced generations of designers, models, photographers, actors, actresses, stylists, media professionals, and creative entrepreneurs, making him one of the most respected mentors and visionaries in the industry.

Throughout his remarkable career, Mr. Blassingame has worked alongside some of the most recognizable names in fashion and entertainment while opening doors for countless emerging creatives. His commitment to excellence and his eye for talent have helped launch and elevate careers that have gone on to achieve national and international success. He has been recognized for helping connect aspiring professionals with opportunities in editorial publishing, runway fashion, television, modeling, and entertainment, leaving a lasting impact on Black fashion and media culture.

His influence extends through the legacy of iconic publications and fashion platforms that celebrated Black excellence and provided visibility during times when opportunities were limited. Publications such as Ebony and Jet played a transformative role in showcasing Black achievement, while the Ebony Fashion Fair became one of the world’s most influential traveling fashion productions, introducing audiences to leading designers and helping elevate Black models and fashion professionals on a global stage.
